Selling to the
US of A
Many of you readers have asked about what the US code is regarding adult content sites in the States. Well I was going to print the code for you, but trust me when I say it is very dry reading indeed. All you need to know is that to sell your work to the American adult porn industry requires that every model depicted has accompanying documentation to prove they are over 18. That's it really. So as long as you stick to the guidelines about age you have found on this site you have nothing else to worry about.
Any adult webmaster needs to be able to prove all models are over 18. Usually they have leased the pictures from an agency and the agency will hold such documentation or a facsimile of. You the photographer will hold the original usually and if any dispute, or problem arises that a model is not of age you will be contacted for the originals. If you cannot produce the originals then I expect you will be in the deepest shit of all time. It is a legal requirement and as a professional you will be expected by the law to keep your paperwork well filed and available. This is not just the case with the USA, but stands legally for any photographer who sells his work anywhere in the world. Once you take payment for work you are deemed legally to be professional and the legal requirement is that you act professionally by keeping records and books.
Below is a set of thumbnails of the sort of sets that sell well to the US adult business.

OK you can see where this set is heading. Generally there are between 70 and 120 in the complete set. This is the type of thing the Adult industry is clamouring for and you can produce it for them. Remember the set will sell again and again and you will be paid a percentage on every sale through licensing, or you can sell the digital publishing rights. So it is a good way of recouping those costs.
Please don't write in to tell me the thumbnails don't open into bigger pictures. I KNOW! :-)
